Langevin AM-16 Pres LOC:US $11,999.99

Made in 1961, pulled out of CBS studios NY in 1974, Used to record two Ramones Albums at Baby Monster Studios, then they ended up in my hands in 2007. The signal path begins andends with a fully-balanced transformer, and there are no capacitors in the signal path. The amplification is Class-A due to the single-ended appearance of the circuit, but I may be wrong about this. For lower noise, each preamps' gain is controlled by three attenuation buttons — no more scratchy, imprecise knobs! The three buttons may be pressed in any combination, and are, respectively, 3dB, 6dB, and 9dB attenuators. This is great when setting up a stereo pair of microphones, where you might want the exact same signal amplification on each. Lastly, this setup does in fact include phantom power, switchable on a per-channel basis. Also Comes with two XLR Snakes (12 male and 12 female) These are great sounding preamps, from the days of vintage API and Neve all-discrete designs. If you like the type of sound only iron can give, you'll love these preamps.
